Hello Mason, Are you serious??!! Your radio show on The New WGPR 107.5 is head and shoulders above the rest. You are a fabulous storyteller, and you have the ability to draw your listening audience in and keep them hanging onto your every word. Right now, I’m listening to you tell the story about Sam Cook. When ya got it . . . ya just got it. Keep up the good work! Speaking of work, I understand that you would like to review some of my writing, spreadsheet and Powerpoint skills. Please let me know, and thank you very very much. With Love, ~ Sandra Remember: A candle loses nothing by lighting another candle!

Popular Detroit radio personality (and Detroit Pistons public-address announcer) John Mason has no set sleep schedule.
“It’s not important to sleep now,” he said. “If I get five hours a day, that’s enough.”
Mason broadcasts his weekday morning show from his $600,000 studio in Detroit’s Guardian Building. The show airs on WGPR 107.5 FM in Detroit and WOWE 98.9 FM in Flint and is streamed on www. masonradioshow.com. The Web site is temporary, registered users will be able to watch videos and download podcasts.
Mason is trying to syndicate nationally — an effort that began in July 2006, when he left WDMK 105.9 FM, a Radio One station. Due to a noncompete contract agreement, he was forced off the Detroit airwaves for six months.
About a year ago, he returned to the air on WGPR.
To stay current, Mason reads USA Today, The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Black Enterprise and Fortune.
“I do it for work, but it’s a hobby,” he said. “It helps me stay on top of how things have changed.”
Mason said he doesn’t listen to much local radio.
However, he said he enjoys the syndicated sports talk show, “The Jim Rome Show,” on WDFN 1130 AM, and the Christmas music played on WNIC 100.3 FM because it reminds him of his childhood.
Mason watches A&E’s “Biography” and Bravo’s “Inside the Actors Studio.” He also likes to kick back and laugh at the ABC comedy “Ugly Betty.” “I think that show has a unique concept.”
The last movie he saw in a theater was the Ralph Green biopic “Talk to Me,” a film about an ex-con who became a popular radio talk show host in the 1960s.
Mason recently saw the Spartan epic “300” on DVD. “I like that because of the warrior spirit,” he said. “It’s kind of like the people who work for me.”
